  • VASILIS XENOPOULOS QUARTET

    Date:
    Monday 22nd February 2016 at 8:30pm
    Ticket Price:
    £11

VASILIS XENOPOULOS was born in Athens and began to play saxophone at the age of 13. In 1999 he was awarded a scholarship to Berklee College of Music in Boston and by 2002 had moved to London to continue his studies with Eddie Harvey, Stan Sulzman, Jimmy Hastings and Pete Cook - forming his first quartet in 2005.

Vasilis's explosive style combined with his delightful personality and connection to his audience means he is in great demand both as a jazz saxophonist and a session musician.

This evening Vasilis is accompanied on keyboards by RICHARD BUSIAKIEWICZ. Richard is firmly established in the UK jazz scene and specialises in repertoire from the Great American Songbook - playing songs spanning no less than 4 decades. Richard was also a member of The Ray Gelato Giants for ten years.

This stellar Quartet is completed by ANDY CLEYNDERT on double bass and ROD BROWN on drums.
