    This is modern jazz in the African-American tradition,
    clearly coming from the Monk and Trane lineage, but not
    bound to emulating it. You will hear ROB LUFT easily morphing Wes
    Montgomery with Bill Frisell, his own trademark soundscapes
    and worldly influences, while DAVE O'HIGGINS emotive melodies
    evoke Dexter, Trane, Joe Henderson and Brecker,

    songs are beloved for their warmth, wit and melodic

    MICK FOSTER is a saxophonist, woodwind player and composer, recognised as one of the UK’s foremost exponents of the baritone saxophone. He studied at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, and has worked extensively in the fields of jazz, commercial and classical music.
    KAREN SHARP is well known and admired for her full-toned melodic saxophone playing, winning the British Jazz Awards for best tenor saxophonist on numerous occasions.

    Saxophonist VASILIS XENOPOULOS is one of London’s
    most highly rated jazz saxophonists. He has worked with
    some of the best musicians of the International Jazz Scene

    whose birth was 100 years ago, he will play several standards

    Tenor saxophonist ART THEMEN'S style owes much

    co-led a band with Alan Barnes.
    He now leads the trio ‘Thane & The Villeins’
