SIMON BATES is Professor of Saxophone for the Royal Marines and in great demand on the London Sessions scene. He has worked with Jamie Callum, Elvis Costello, Bette Midler and Rick Wakeman to name but a few - and is a frequent performer at Ronnie Scotts. Less widely known is Simon's extraordinary ability to play virtually any instrument in the woodwind family - leading to regular appearances in most of the top West End Shows.

He has recorded with Bing Crosby, Johnny Mercer, Peggy Lee,Fred Astaire & Elaine Delmar. He worked extensively as a Session Musician (along with our own Joe Mudele) and has recorded with them all including Alan Barnes, Pete King, Jim Mullen, Allan Ganley, Clark Tracey, Dick Morrissey,Bobby Orre, Alec Dankworth etc.
