Tenor saxophonist ART THEMEN'S style owes much
to the influence of Dexter Gordon and Sonny Rollins.
He played with The Michael Garrick Sextet and
Don Weller during his long association with Stan Tracey.
From 1996 he led his own quintet/quartet and
co-led a band with Alan Barnes.
He now leads the trio ‘Thane & The Villeins’
with Hammond organist PETE WHITTAKER
and drummer GEORGE DOUBLE.
