Once more we are celebrating the 29th November 1952 when the MUDELE'S BLUE ROOM first opened its
doors on Garrick Street.
Joe's group played there every Monday, Friday and Saturday evenings to packed houses until - eventually - the Club was taken over by the owner of Studio 51. In the late 40s Joe also played with the Dankworth Seven.

Hence - before Joe died on 7th March 2014 - he and Joe had talked about setting up this evening at Bexley to commemorate the event. Colin has done so - and it will now be performed regularly in loving memory of JOE MUDELE - who played double bass at this Club for over 20 years - subsequently taking on the running and organisation of the Club 16 years ago - together with his wife Jan who now makes certain that Bexley Jazz Club remains one of the best in the country.

As always - Colin will lead - having made all of the Arrangements for the following superb line up :

Enrico Tomasso - Trumpet
Michael Coates - Alto
David Black - Tenor
Colin Hickman - Baritone
John Pearce - Keys
Paul Morgan - Double Bass
Harold Fisher - Drums
