We're told that there are over 200 people in the UK with the name "Alan Barnes" - but, for us here at Bexley, there is - and has only ever been - one ALAN BARNES who is without doubt one of the UK's finest jazz musicians and multi, multi award winner.
Charlie Parker once said "don't play the saxophone - let it play you". Perhaps that's also Alan's secret.
This evening Alan's simply superb quartet is completed with ROBIN ASPLAND/keyboards; ANDY CLEYNDERT/bass; and STEVE BROWN/drums.
