For the first time at Bexley we're delighted to welcome MICK HUTTON and his Quartet.

MICK HUTTON is one of the most talented jazz bassists in Europe - leading his own bands & playing on over 60 albums with artists such as Django Bates, Kenny Wheeler, Jack Bruce, Humphrey Lyttleton, Nigel Kennedy, Acker Bilk, Jim Mullen, Tommy Smith, Courtney Pine, Annie Ross, Mose Allison.

FRANK GRIFFITHS - Tenor/Clarinet - born in Oregon but worked in NYC 1980/95 with such as Ron Carter, Jon Hendricks, Jack McDuff - and playing lead alto with Glenn Miller's Orchestra in 1984 - working also with the Orchestras of Toshiko Akiyoshi, Mel Lewis, Buddy Rich and Mel Torme. Frank moved to London in'96, is affiliated with the Pete Cater Big Band who feature many of his compositions & arrangements. At the end of a Wavendon gig John Dankworth presented Frank with an Award - BAJA - British Adoptee Jazz Alumni !!

KATE WILLIAMS - Pianist/Composer - is daughter of the guitarist John Williams and recipient of the John Dankworth Award for Talent Deserving Wider Recognition. Kate has toured the UK with her Quintet, Quartet and performed with such as John Etheridge, Anita Wardell, Karen Sharpe, Georgia Mancio, Dave Cliff, Chris Biscoe.

PAUL ROBINSON - Drummer - has had a glittering international jazz career - having spent 19 years with Nina Simone - done a huge amount of commercial studio work and played/recorded with numerous British jazz musicians in a career spanning more than 45 years.
