    MICK FOSTER - Saxophonist, Clarinettist, Composer - amongst others Mick works with the big bands

    Mick is also in demand as a busy Session Musician when not teaching at Trinity Laban, Guildhall School

    KAREN SHARP - Tenor & Baritone. Karen's career took off in 2000 when she was asked to join Humphrey Lyttleton's Band with whom she toured for 4 years - having won British Jazz Award/Tenor on numerous
    occasions.

    As a UK Vibraphone Player - Roger co-founded the Chevalier Brothers in the 1980s - and was an
    Acid Jazz artist in the 90s with his band - The Beaujolais Band and Vibraphonic. Roger's quartet
    released their album "SUNSET" in 2017.

    This evening Roger has a superb Trio with Robin Aspland/keys - Simon Thorpe/double bass - and
    Winston Clifford/drums.

    Band Room !

  • THE BLUE ROOM SEVEN

    Once more we are celebrating the 29th November 1952 when the MUDELE'S BLUE ROOM first opened its
    doors on Garrick Street.
    Joe's group played there every Monday, Friday and Saturday evenings to packed houses until - eventually - the Club was taken over by the owner of Studio 51. In the late 40s Joe also played with the Dankworth Seven.

    Hence - before Joe died on 7th March 2014 - he and Joe had talked about setting up this evening at Bexley to commemorate the event. Colin has done so - and it will now be performed regularly in loving memory of JOE MUDELE - who played double bass at this Club for over 20 years - subsequently taking on the running and organisation of the Club 16 years ago - together with his wife Jan who now makes certain that Bexley Jazz Club remains one of the best in the country.

    As always - Colin will lead - having made all of the Arrangements for the following superb line up :

  • DAMON BROWN QUARTET

    DAMON BROWN - Trumpet & Flugelhorn - is one of the UKs leading Jazz Trumpet players and composers.
    In the mid 90s he toured the UK with his first jazz group - Damon Brown Quintet.
    Since then Damon has appears at many of the famous jazz venues - including Pizza Express, Ronnie Scotts,
    The London & Edinburgh Jazz Festival, The Red Sea International Jazz Festival, Copenhagen Jazz House -
    as well as working extensively in both France and Spain.

    Damon is wonderfully supported this evening with LEON GREENING on keys - ADAM KING Bass - and
    CLARKE TRACEY on drums.

    As a Jazz and Latin Drummer MARC CECIL has a substantial list of credits - including Art Themen,
    John Bunch, Dominic Ashworth, Paul Booth, Geoff Gascoyne, Alan Barnes, Steve Waterman, Pete Long,
    Karen Sharp, Derek Nash etc etc - SWING, SALSA, SAMBA - all linked together with some original arrangements of classic Jazz Standards.

    On Tenor Saxophone - ZAK BARRETT who studied at The Royal Northern College of Music where he both attended and performed at Master Classes featuring such as Ed Thigpen, Victor Mendoza, Phil Woods etc. As a performer Zac has worked with artistes ranging from Mick Hucknell to Narada Michael Walden.

    The Trio is completed by two simply superb musicians - on keys RICHARD BUSIAKIEWICZ and on Double Bass NEVILLE MALCOLM.
